The Tiger Shark (rarely referred to by the fanbase as tiger) is one of the Tier 10 Animals in Deeeep.io. It is based on its real life counterpart, Galeocerdo cuvier, and instead of brute force, players using this animal have to rely on stealth, through its two Passive Abilities.
Appearence
The Tiger Shark in Deeeep.io appears to have a brown body, with a white underbelly and stripes in a darker shade of brown on its sides. It had a downward facing mouth with red lips and teeth resembling those of its real life counterpart. Instead of being on the sides of the sprite, the three pairs of gill slits on the Tiger Shark is located between its upperbody and underbelly.
Once the Tiger Shark prowls near the terrain, it turns translucent, and none of these features can be seen easily by its prey.
Mechanics
Here are the mechanics that apply to the Tiger Shark in the Free for All game mode. (Deeeep.io v4 [Snow and Below] Beta, 2022)
- Wobbegong Sharks evolve into Tiger Sharks, Basking Sharks and Whale Sharks. 48,000XP is required for the former to evolve into these animals.
- Tiger Sharks are Tier 10 Animals which is at the top of the Evolutionary Tree. Tier 10 is the final level of evolution, meaning that Tiger Sharks are unable to evolve further.
- Like other Tier 10 Animals, friendly fire is turned off (friendly fire refers to the ability to attack another animal. If it is turned on, the said animals are able to hurt each other) against Tier 1 Animals (excluding Worms and Tier 1 Piranhas) as a TIger Shark.
- Tiger Sharks drop a skeleton and meat upon death [the quantity of meat drop by every tier has to be calculated one day].
Abilities
Active Abilities
- Like most animals in the game, the Tiger Shark is able to dash. Normal boosting as a Tiger Shark will consume a boost bar and cause you to impulse yourself forward for ? units. Due to how speed and momentum effects damage, targets hit by a dashing animal will receive an addtional 25% of the attacker's base damage (in this case, ).
Passive Abilities
Name | Image | Description |
---|---|---|
Camouflage | Staying near terrains or islands as a Tiger Shark will cause you to gain 90% transparency and +15% speed (115% total). It is hard for other players to notice the shark at this state if they aren’t paying attention. The name suits it well, since it does have the stealth of the feline it is named after. | |
Bloodseeker | Like the Shark and the Sleeper Shark, the Tiger Shark is able to sense the location of animals that are bleeding or low in health within a radius of ? units (area of ?² units) from itself. These animals are portrayed by blood particles, similar to those trailing behind them. The higher the opacity of the sprite, the shorter the distance between the target and the Tiger Shark. Players are able to reap weakened prey efficiently with the help of both abilities. |
Suitable Habitats
Each animal will at least have three types of habitat that is suitable for them to live in. The biome they are in must have at least one similar trait out of each habitat class for it to be suitable for the animal to live in. Suitable habitats for a Tiger Shark are Warm, Salt and Shallow Waters.
- If a Tiger Shark leaves a Warm habitat, it will lose temperature.
- If a Tiger Shark leaves a Salt habitat, it will lose salinity.
- If a Tiger Shark leaves a Shallow habitat, it will lose pressure.
- If a Tiger Shark gets out of the water, it will lose oxygen.

Hiding Places

Trivia
- The Sand Tiger Shark is the first Tiger Shark skin to be added to the game. It was added in 2019, while the others were added in a skin batch in 2021.
- Iridescent basically means shimmering or sparkling. There is such a fish called the Iridescent Shark in real life, except that it is a catfish instead of a shark. [1]
- The Tiger Shark is widely considered by the community as one of, if not the, most balanced Tier 10 animals in the game.
