The Bull Shark (in-game ID: bullshark) is a Tier 10 Animal in Deeeep.io. It appears as a greyish-brown blocky fish with big black eyes, a mouth with pink lips and filled with sharp teeth, as well as an oval underbelly of a lighter shade. Its detailed design by u/TheTrueDrDerp of Reddit also includes three pairs of gill slits, a crescent tail, nostrils, and three scars: two cross-shaped ones on its body and one straight across an eye.

Mechanics[ | ]

Here are the mechanics that apply to the Bull Shark in the Free for All game mode. (Deeeep.io v4 [Snow and Below] Beta, 2022)

  • Hammerheads evolve into Bull Sharks, Sharks and Thresher Sharks. 48,000XP is required for the former to evolve into these animals.
  • Bull Sharks are Tier 10 Animals which is at the top of the Evolutionary Tree. Tier 10 is the final level of evolution, meaning that Bull Sharks are unable to evolve further.
  • Like other Tier 10 Animals, friendly fire is turned off (friendly fire refers to the ability to attack another animal. If it is turned on, the said animals are able to hurt each other) against Tier 1 Animals (excluding Worms and Tier 1 Piranhas) as a Bull Shark.
  • Bull Sharks drop a skeleton and meat upon death [the quantity of meat drop by every tier has to be calculated one day].

Abilities[ | ]

Each animal has its own unique abilities. The Bull Shark’s ability is to inflict scars to animals it hits via boosting into them. Scars slow animals down, and if the animal already has scars on its body, additional scars will deal increasing damage.

Active Abilities[ | ]

  • Bull Sharks, like most other animals, is able to normally boost. Boosting as a Bull Shark will consume a boost bar and cause it to impulse itself forward. Targets hit by a dashing animal will receive an addtional 25% of the attacker's base damage (in this case, ). Dash hits from a Bull Shark, however, does a lot more than that.
Name Image Charge Time Description
Bull Shark's Scar Bull Shark Scar N/A Whenever a Bull Shark hits an animal with a dash, a scar which will despawn after 5 seconds will appear in a random location of the target’s body. Each scar inflicts a stackable -5% slow, and a target can have two of them on its body at once.

Scars will also increase the damage of the next dash-hit from a Bull Shark. If a target with one scar on its body is hit by a dashing Bull Shark, the despawn timer of the scar will reset and the hit will deal 225 damage instead of the usual 175. If the target has two scars, a third dash-hit will deal 300 damage, create a red box-like special effect and remove all the existing scars. Dash hits from other Bull Sharks also counts.

Passive Abilities[ | ]

  • The Bull Shark will gain an additional +20% speed (into 120% speed) when swimming away from a scarred target. This will help a lot when the Bull Shark tries to regenerate boosts to strike again.
  • The Bull Shark will gain 10% lifesteal when under 50% health, and 20% lifesteal when under 25% health. Lifesteal refers to the amount of health a lifestealer (an animal with lifesteal) heals each time when it is hitting animals. The amount of health healed is equal to the Lifesteal Percentage multiplying the Lifestealer’s Base DPS. 10% lifesteal will heal the Bull Shark by 14 health per hit, and 20% lifesteal will heal the Bull Shark by 28 health per hit.

Suitable Biomes[ | ]

Each animal will at least have three types of habitat that is suitable for them to live in. The biome they are in must have at least one similar trait out of each habitat class for it to be suitable for the animal to live in. Suitable habitats for a Bull Shark are Warm, Fresh/Salt and Shallow Waters.

  • If a Bull Shark leaves a Warm habitat, it will lose temperature.
  • If a Bull Shark leaves a Shallow habitat, it will lose pressure.
  • If a Bull Shark gets out of the water, it will lose oxygen.

Hiding Places[ | ]

Hiding Places are props that allow animals to hide. Each animal has different hiding places that are suitable for them. At most cases, the bigger the animal, the fewer the Hiding Places they can interact with. Below are the Hiding Places that can be used for the Bull Shark.

Name Summary Image
Giant Shipwreck The biggest prop of all. Animals can hide in its windows or cracks, no matter what Tier it is. Placed by mapmakers in small amounts (1 to 3) due to how useful it is. Big Boat

Skins[ | ]

Skins are cosmetics used to change an animal's looks, or sometimes, an animal’s biome or size statistics slightly. The table below shows the list of approved skins that can be used for the Bull Shark.

Non-seasonal Skins[ | ]

Non-seasonal skins can be used in every time of the year. They are mostly based on real-life species, or variations in colour.

OUTDATED!!! Add it back after we have a full changelog k?

Trivia[ | ]

  • Bull Sharks are capable of inflicting multiple scars with a single dash-hit some time ago. This is called multi-scarring and is very unfair towards other animals. The Bull Shark can once also deal two heavy (350) damage (previously, a second scar deals 175 damage and the third 350) at once and can even facetank a Whale with this. These are fixed, thanks to the Developer and the Harmony Guild.
  • The Bull Shark is added in a minor update: The Bull Shark Update. It also introduces lifesteal, which is not used on other animals until the Snow and Below update (where it is added on Sunfish and Coelacanth Drones).
  • The Bull Shark is considered as one of the hardest animals to use in 1 vs 1. It can’t blindly face-tank its opponents because of its lower than average HP, and must do a lot of hit and runs.
